Welcome back to you all! It has been a strange 6 months for us all and we are so happy to be welcoming you back to school.
We hope that you have found the last week of school straightforward and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to call or email.
Here are a few updates for you all
This term we will be following a recovery curriculum which will be in place to support pupils in settling back into school. Additionally, we will be assessing pupil’s learning to see if there have been any changes over the lockdown period. We will be responding to your child’s specific needs and will introduce the old curriculum and format when your child is ready.
Class name change
The class name will be now known as P5
As you are aware for the first 5 weeks of Term 1 Claremont will only be open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On Wednesday we will have enhanced cleaning of each site.
On Wednesday I will call you to have a brief catch up and see how you are doing.
Some of you have asked about the car park arrangements and I hope you understand that the closure of the car park will remain until further notice so that we can maintain social distancing at pick up and drop off times, and student safety. This is constantly under review.
Our therapists are starting to come back into school but this won’t be like it was in March. We will continue to communicate with them through email and video calls where possible and will have some pre-arranged visits.
Please contact your therapist directly using the following contact details:
Katy Waddington (SALT) email@example.com
Becci Grant (OT) firstname.lastname@example.org
Leila Grey (physio) Leila.email@example.com
As most of you know, I am not in school but am working/teaching from home. This is due to the stage of my pregnancy, the medical advice given and the schools risk assessment. Jack and I are running the class together and in regular communications.
I will be starting maternity leave in October. I will be replaced by 2 teachers. Ruth Glasspool has now joined P5, and she will be teaching at the start of the week. Melissa Minton will be joining the class later this term.
Thank you and it has been lovely working with your inspirational children over these last few years.
