Welcome back to Term 6!
The final term of the year and the sun is finally shining! In term 6 our theme will be ‘By the Seaside’.
Whilst we dream of going on holiday in P5 we will be going on a virtual trip to the seaside. There will be lots of messy sand and water play linked to Maths and shape, space, and measure. We will learn about different environments, sea creatures and create some beautiful seaside themed art.
We will continue to explore growth and changes through stories that link to our RHSE theme which is Life Cycles. Our caterpillars have finally arrived and are already getting fatter and fatter each day!
Our focus story this term is ‘Catch a Star’ by Oliver Jeffers which explores the theme of problem solving.
As part of our RSHE theme we will also be exploring ‘My Body’. This will involve discussing the different parts of our body and seeing if we can identify and name them using the correct names. Please get in touch if you wish to discuss any aspect of our RSHE teaching and learning.
Our weekly sessions from Bristol Bears and Soundabout will continue via zoom, as well as weekly school council and orchestra sessions.
We are really enjoying being outside more for PE, messy play and art so thank you for continuing to send sunscreen, hats, and appropriate clothing.
Please remember that if your child is learning from home at any point this term, we will provide activities and ideas on our School Website. There are also lots of videos on Claremont’s YouTube channel
